I spent some time researching attorneys after being charged with a first and a second degree felony and chose John Allan. That was the most important decision I made about my defense and my future.

If I had had anyone other than John, I would be spending years in prison. I had never been in any trouble in my life.  John believed in me and when one door slammed in our faces, he knocked on another with dogged determination. He was able to get the first degree felony dismissed. I ended up with a second degree felony and less than 2 months in county jail.

If charged, you need his knowledge and experience with law, the system, negotiating techniques, and stockpile of the best experts. When you talk to John you feel you are his first priority; he is on your side and has your best interest in mind.  He explained everything truthfully and made no unrealistic promises so I was prepared. You quickly develop a trust in him that is critical when you don’t know what to do but this is something that will affect the rest of your life.

I was impressed with his presence and his presentation of my case in the court room. Some attorneys are good with paperwork and not in court or vice versa.  John is talented at both.

John Allan was a key to assisting me in accelerating my expungement by two full years. He was successful in getting the prosecutor to agree to reduce a class A down to a C long after the case was settled by another attorney.  Very friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to utilize a key relationship from his years working inside the county attorney’s office to take me down two full degrees on my 402 reduction.  I talked to three local attorneys who are well-versed in criminal defense, and all of them unanimously agreed that I would do well to hire John.  I’m glad I listened! —Britt D

Couldn’t have worked out better for me!

I’ve never been in any trouble with the law in my life. I had no idea what to do or who to talk to about my DUI. I was referred to John Easton by a relative of mine. I called, left a message, and he called me back promptly to discuss my situation and set up a consultation. After speaking with him for only an hour and weighing out all my options, I left his office feeling like there was hope for my case. He explained the next steps of exactly what was going to happen, how we would handle it, and how he would set up a strong defense for me. I did have a couple positive things going for my specific case. When we went in for my driver’s license hearing, they denied returning it to me. John didn’t give up. He appealed their decision, and yet they still denied it. So, at this point, I was feeling like I may not win or get my license back for some time. Despite my discouragement, John stayed very optimistic about my case and still wasn’t ready to give up. He explained I still had reason for hope in my upcoming hearing. The day came and we were able to postpone the hearing temporarily. In the meantime, John continued working hard to defend me. Because of his knowledge and experience with other cases and the law, he was able to negotiate with the prosecutor to have my charges DISMISSED!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! I was going to get my license back!! I can’t begin to describe how great it felt to feel like justice was served! I couldn’t be more grateful to him for all of his hard work on my behalf. Not only did I learn an expensive and hard lesson, he made every penny well worth it because of the consequences I would’ve faced. John L. Allan is a very skilled, experienced and professional attorney. He was able to help our son immediately and represent him before he went to court. I would highly recommend John Allen as a lawyer. He looks at your case from all angles and questions evidence. He treats you with respect. His prices were very fair for what he does for you and he is upfront about costs. He does not rush through your appointments but takes the time to explain things to you. When I have needed to call him with a question, he takes the time to understand what is going on. He is professional yet charismatic. I was very pleased with the attorney services that I received from Allan&Easton. I required their representation due to a DUI, marijuana possession, paraphernalia possession and a littering charge which occurred near the end of October in 2015. My attorney was able to get my littering charge, open container and DUI dismissed and I got a pleas in abeyance on my marijuana and paraphernalia possession charges. I recently used John Allan on a case I had. I didn’t know anything about what had happened and he was very helpful and had answers to all my questions .
